Welcome to a new Chic Files feature, “Chic In…”! It seems only fitting, as a Boston based blog, to highlight my own city first, but over time we will focus on interesting, fashionable, creative and go-to places in cities far and wide. Today we are going to take a look at Viola Lovely. My co-worker, who lives in Boston’s South End, turned me on to this shop and I have been enamored ever since. Owner Lisa Cancelli fills her store with cutting edge fashions – the brands are luxurious, and all 3 boutiques (Boston just opened last year with the others being in Wenham and Concord) are packed with emerging designers that you won’t find in department stores, like Golden Goose, Giada Forte, Yigal Azrouël and Jerome Dreyfuss to name a few. The store has a gallery-like feel that is at once stunning and inviting. I promise, you will not be disappointed.
