Below are pictures from a day at the beach in the early 1900’s; the difference 100 years makes is entertaining and unbelievable!  Women in the 1910’s and 1920’s often wore matching hats and stockings with their suits. I am struck by just how covered up and hot they must be, but also by how much effort they put into their appearance. Any of you that have been to a beach lately knows that it’s a dream come true for the fashion police!
