OH CHRISTMAS TREE
Decorating the Christmas tree is one of my favorite rituals of the year. We go and pick out our freshly cut tree on the Friday after Thanksgiving each year and then trim the tree on Saturday night. As far as the decorations go, the possibilities are endless but it is almost always the case that the reflection of the decorator’s aesthetic comes shining through. In our household, we have several ornaments that are cherished and have had a spot on the tree for generations, others are added each year as a memory piece (like our new ornament from our Sonoma vacation that we added to the collection this year). We decided to go with all white lights and a shimmery star as a tree topper, keeping things chic and cozy.
Each household seems to have their own variation of the tree trimming tradition – and I would love to hear yours. Please make sure to share in the comments section! Below is a small sampling of the many variations out there. Happy decorating to you all.
pretty trees! I have an owl obsession, so of course, my tree is full of owl ornaments. I buy a few more each year and always get them as gifts so I’m sure by next year my tree will be nothing but owls…I’m ok with that though 🙂

Jordanna, I love owls too. I don’t have a collection, but I did buy a fluffy little white one last year and I want more! I saw some cute owl ornaments at West Elm if you are looking to add even more to the collection! 🙂
