This week I went up north just past Santa Barbara to Gaviota State Park on a camping trip. What are you supposed to wear on a camping trip? I never want to feel like I have to lose my personal style in order to survive outdoors. So instead of opting for khaki shorts and spaghetti strap tops with hiking boots or flip flops I tried to stay somewhat stylish in my own way. Although I did of course wear the flip flops to the shower! I couldn’t imagine walking in there barefoot since it is a public shower.
My trip was nice and beachy except the for the loud Amtrak train that drove by every 2 hours. And our fire pit seemed to be the only without a rack so always pack a back-up camper stove or BBQ (just some camping advice). For this trip I packed light since I only was going to stay for two nights. I packed mostly dresses and jeans. I do wish that I had packed some shorts, just because it was so hot and windy at the same time. The beach-side wind kept me holding down my dresses the whole time making for a not so fun day. So here in these pictures I am wearing a vintage bathing suit from my mom of course and sunglasses from Forever 21. I love this picture because you can see my boyfriends refection in my glasses. The other picture I am wearing a Forever 21 floral dress with shoes from H&M and an army surplus bag as my purse with my Forever 21 sunglasses. It was so nice to be near blue waters in sunny California.
