Halloween is here at the end of the week and I’m very excited!! This is the holiday where you can be creative and dress as wild as you want and it becomes socially acceptable. So if you’re not sure if you’re going to dress up this year but still want to stay in the spirit of Halloween then make a Halloween hair clip! It will add some darkness to your do and show off your crafty side. Making a hair clip can be pretty easy, if you want to do something big and different it might take up more time and cost more money. Here are three simple hair clips that are easy to make. Most of the supplies I got at the dollar store, you don’t need to spend lots of money unless you want to.
The supplies I bought: 2 black glittered fake roses, a package of Halloween stickers, 4 pack of medium sized fake spiders and big black metal hair clips. You’re also going to need a hot glue gun, black card stock paper and your imagination!
First I take the roses and gently open them up to make them looked bloomed. Next take some black card-stock and cut some long thin strips (just a couple). Once those are cut you can curl them with a pencil and glue them to the end of your fake spider. Once those are dry you simply glue your spider on top of the flower wherever you want it. Then last, glue the flower to the black hair clip, be sure not to glue the clip closed otherwise your hair clip wont work! And its done!!
Second clip- follow the same basic steps above by opening the flower. If you want you can glue strips of different colored fabric or some curled card-stock paper to the back of the rose. Next you simply glue the Halloween sticker to the center of the flower and glue the flower to the clip.
Third clip- This clip is much easier to do all you do is glue the spider to the clip and add any fabric or other ribbons to it for a fuller look.
Now you have 3 hair clips to choose from for Halloween. They’re all easy to make and can be worn with anything. You can wear one to work this week to keep your haunting spirits alive or for Halloween instead of going all out and spending lots on a costume. Dress up your hair and be pretty-haunting this year!!
